Reeeeally great， Mafia read。 There are quite a few mafia books out there， some that might even follow a similar flow， but this one hit really nicely for me where others have fallen flat。 This story was engaging and left me wondering what would happen next， Charlie was the perfect type of heroine， independent with a quiet sort of strength， she wasnt your standard "badass" but more like she had grit and determination that she had gathered from her own trauma and the responsibility of looking after Reeeeally great， Mafia read。 There are quite a few mafia books out there， some that might even follow a similar flow， but this one hit really nicely for me where others have fallen flat。 This story was engaging and left me wondering what would happen next， Charlie was the perfect type of heroine， independent with a quiet sort of strength， she wasnt your standard "badass" but more like she had grit and determination that she had gathered from her own trauma and the responsibility of looking after her sister。 Renato was， of course 🔥 loved his desire to have Charlie pregnant。Great side characters。Smooth and well written， there were a few grammatical errors， but nothing that bothered me。 This isn't my first Mila Kane book， and it won't be my last。 。。。more

This was my first time reading a Mila book so I wasn't sure if this was her regular writing style or not。 During the first half of the book I almost DNF many times but I told myself to stick with it and give Mila a chance。 A lot of that had to do with Lucy， the h's younger sister。 She was supposed to be 19 but she acted like an ungrateful spoiled 10 year old。 After everything her sister had done to love， support and keep her safe Lucy treated her with hatred and disrespect。 It took me a while to This was my first time reading a Mila book so I wasn't sure if this was her regular writing style or not。 During the first half of the book I almost DNF many times but I told myself to stick with it and give Mila a chance。 A lot of that had to do with Lucy， the h's younger sister。 She was supposed to be 19 but she acted like an ungrateful spoiled 10 year old。 After everything her sister had done to love， support and keep her safe Lucy treated her with hatred and disrespect。 It took me a while to warm up to Charlotte/Charlie because of the way she let people walk all over her and treat her like garbage was getting to be too much but then she started to get some confidence， think for herself， let people start helping her with things， and grew a backbone。 The scene where her and Renato had their deep discussion in his mother's church （71% in） I finally fell in love with her 🥰。 I had no such issues with Renato/Ren he had me on his side right from the start。 His character remained consistent throughout the book and my love for him grew when he said Lucy was his family and needed his protection too。 The more in love with Charlotte the happier he got。 His loyalty to his men and their families 😊🤌。 Then of course my two favorite characters in the book， Sonny and Elio。 Sonny being Charlotte's personal bodyguard and Elio being Renato's second in command。 I would love each man to get their own book at sometime！"I knew that look。 I’d worn that look。 When you just felt done with everything， but people depended on you， so you forced yourself to keep going。 " - 100% truth 😳I am leaving my honest review for a complimentary copy of this book via the author。 。。。more
